2008 / 2009 SEASON

The first members of Crayford Arrows came along back in 1981 and formed what was, at that time, our one and only team.

Over the years more and more people have walked through our gates, at Bakers Field, with the aim of becoming a member of the Club.

You will see, from the list of teams on this web site, that our membership has grown considerably to what currently stands at 237. The membership incorporates all age groups from small-sided football at under 7 through to senior football. We also have 2 girls teams. We at Crayford Arrows take membership very seriously as you would expect, after all it is the life-blood of the Club.

Our members are asked to complete a membership application form at the start of each season and this information is fed into our membership database. The information includes obvious detail such as name/address, which we use to provide newsletters to home addresses, through to medical detail, allergies etc. and each team manager holds these details, when with the team, should an emergency arise. The database is registered under the Data Protection Act.

Like all organisations of this type we ask our members to pay a fee. In order to make this process as simple as possible, for our individual teams and members themselves, we introduced a Standing Order system. Members or parents pay a fixed amount per month, throughout the duration of the season, by Standing Order. The fee covers training, matches (referees, pitch fees, expenses etc.) and facilities.

We, as the board of the Club, review fees against costs etc. each year. Our aim has always been, and will continue to be, to cover running and projected development costs. We are not a ‘profit’-making Club and respect this when the review takes place each year.

We currently have two types of membership available — Full and Associate. A Full member is entitled to training, match play and facilities and an Associate to training and facilities. The type of membership governs the fee payable. We also offer a family discount.

Our membership fees for the 2008/09 season are:

If a member joins the Club after September, which is the start of our ‘payment period’, then membership fees are paid on a pro-rata basis. The signing on fee remains the same regardless of when a player becomes a member.
